Abstract
Hierdie korl woord wat ek gevra is om tot u te rig, is in dubbele sin ’n afskeidswooi'd: die studente wat vanoggend hulle diplomas ontvang, lieem aiskeid van ons inrigting, en ek tree uit die vaste diens van die imiversiteit. By so ’n geleentheid kan mens in die versoeking kom om met ’n aantal vvyse lesse en gemeenplase te wil vergoed vir jou tekortkominge as dosent wat jy op ’n oomblik soos hierdie maar al te goed besef. Ek wil probeer om aan hierdie gevaar te ontkom deur een kardinale aspek van die studie en onderwys van literatuur en kuns te beklemtoon. Ek sal daarmee niks nuuts bring nie maar m.i. wel iets wat vir student en onder- wyser altyd lewend, altyd nuut moet bly, en lioewel my eerste uitgangspunt my eie vak is, iets wat geld vir alle studie en onderwys.Copyright information
