Abstract
Dat Sowjet-Rusland ecu typisehe philosophic bezit is aan ieder bekend. Ook weet elkeen, dat de historische wetenschap, de economie, de sociologie en de paedagogiek aldaar eigen wegen volgen. Minder bekend is echter dat ook de biologie in Rusland een geheel eigen koers vaart en nog onbekender zijn de feiten, de motieven en de achtergronden, welke hiertoe geleid hebben. Deze onbekendlieid vloeit enerzijds voort uit de betrekkelijk geringe aaiulaclit die in liet Westen aan deze kwestie is gewijd, anderzijds is het niters moeilijk zicli te verplaatsen in een oris zo geheel vreemde denk- wereld. I)e beste nietliode cm te tracliten iets van de Russische biologie te verstaan is dan ook orn allereerst de nadruk te leggen op de practisclie verscliillen met de werkwijze en die biologisclie opvattingen van het Westen.Copyright information
