Abstract
Die aanwesigheid van gunstige hulpbronne in 'n land is nie 'n waarborg vir sy ekonomiese ontwikkeling nie. Daar moet die nodige kulturele magte wees om hierdie opgehoopte ryk- dom in produktiewe beleggings om te sit. Daarvoor is die inisiatief, die visie en die kapitaal van die ondernemer nodig. Wat die opbrengs van hierdie beskikbare hulpbronne sal wees, hang ook van die besondere sosiale en kulturele milieu af waarbinne die ekonomiese aktiwiteite in ’n land beoefen word. In enige gemeenskap is hierdie milieu die eksterne uiting van die fundamentele godsdienstige, morele en kulturele opvat- tings en aspirasies van die mense wat daardie gemeenskap vorm. Hierdie uiteindelike waardes neig weer om uitdrukking te vind in sekere godsdienstige, sosiale, politieke en kulturele instellings, wat weer op hulle beurt die lewenswyse vir die mense in die gemeenskap voorskryf en die motiverings en ge- dragspatrone van hulle reaksie op bepaalde omstandighede bepaal.Copyright information
