Abstract
Dit is moeilik om 'n geskikte benaming te vind vir wat onder primitiewe religies verstaan word. Die woorde animisme, dinamisme of naturalisme bevredig nie meer vandag nie. Hoe wel die woord prim itief ook nie 'n baie gelukkige keuse is nie, gebruik ons dit omdat dit in die wetenskaplike spraak- gebruik reeds burgerreg verkry het sonder dat, soos vroeër aangeneem is, hiermee te kenne gegee word dat hierdie soort religies aan ons die beeld van die oorspronklike religie van die mensheid vertoon.Copyright information
